Privacy Policy
Version 2026-08-21
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. About this Privacy Policy
AcqLogic is operated by Yellow Bricks Pty Ltd ABN 35 622 654 602.
This Privacy Policy explains how Yellow Bricks Pty Ltd handles personal information in connection with AcqLogic, including how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information and how you may contact us about your information or a privacy concern.
We aim to manage personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and an Australian Privacy Principles-aligned privacy standard.
AcqLogic is a property acquisition, assessment, scenario-modelling and reporting software platform. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled through the AcqLogic application, related account and support processes and AcqLogic communications.
2. Personal information we may collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you use AcqLogic.
This may include your name, email address, authentication and account information, profile details, company or business information you choose to provide, report-preparer details and branding information.
We may also hold information you enter, upload, save or create while using AcqLogic. This may include property addresses, property and project details, assessment assumptions, costs, finance assumptions, income assumptions, project strategies, due-diligence notes, comparable sales or rental notes, Developer Notes, report content, uploaded property images and plans, logos, headshots and other supporting material.
If you use Share a Deal, we may process information required to create and manage the invitation, including the intended recipient email address, invitation and acceptance information and limited information made available for the pre-acceptance preview.
Information entered by users may sometimes contain personal information about other people. AcqLogic does not independently verify whether information entered or uploaded by a user contains third-party personal information.
We may also generate or receive operational information associated with use of AcqLogic, such as authentication events, timestamps, service requests, security information, diagnostic information and other technical records generated through our service providers.
3. How we collect personal information
We usually collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, create or edit a property assessment, upload material, generate a report, use Share a Deal, contact us or otherwise use AcqLogic.
We may also receive limited personal information from another AcqLogic user where they use a feature involving you, such as nominating your email address as the intended recipient of a Share a Deal invitation.
Some technical or operational information may be generated automatically through AcqLogic or our technology providers as part of authentication, hosting, storage, security, email delivery and application operation.
Cookies, session technologies and technical logs
We may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, protect security and provide core AcqLogic functionality. Our technology providers may also generate technical, diagnostic and security logs as part of operating the service.
If we introduce optional analytics, advertising, session-recording or similar tracking technologies, we will review our privacy obligations and update this Privacy Policy and any required notice or consent choices before or at deployment.
4. Why we collect, hold and use personal information
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to create and manage AcqLogic accounts, authenticate users, operate saved projects and property assessments, store project material, perform calculations, generate reports and PDFs, provide sharing features and maintain user-selected branding and profile settings.
We may also use information to provide support, communicate about account and service matters, investigate errors, maintain security, prevent misuse, administer privacy requests, maintain legal acceptance records and meet legal, regulatory, compliance and record-keeping requirements.
AcqLogic may use project and assessment information to perform automated software calculations and generate scenario outputs and reports based on the inputs and assumptions supplied by users. Those calculations remain subject to AcqLogic's separate product disclaimers and Terms of Use.
We do not sell users' personal information.
Automated processing
AcqLogic uses automated software calculations and rules to generate property assessment, scenario and report outputs from information supplied by users. These outputs are decision-support tools and are not designed to make decisions about individuals that determine or materially affect their legal rights, eligibility or access to services.
If AcqLogic later introduces automated decision-making that materially affects individuals, we will review and update this Privacy Policy and our practices as required by applicable law.
5. When we disclose personal information
We may disclose or make personal information available to service providers that assist us to operate AcqLogic.
Our current principal technology providers include Supabase, which supports authentication, database and private Storage services; Vercel, which supports application hosting and server-side processing including report generation; and Google Workspace, which supports email and related communications.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers where reasonably necessary, or where disclosure is required or authorised by applicable law, a court or tribunal, or a lawful regulatory process.
Service providers are given access only to information reasonably necessary for the services they provide.
6. Share a Deal
Share a Deal allows an AcqLogic user to offer a one-time independent copy of a property assessment to an intended recipient.
Before acceptance, AcqLogic limits the recipient preview to the information permitted by the current Share a Deal design, such as the sender display name, project name, suburb or state and deal type.
The intended recipient must authenticate using the intended email address and explicitly accept the deal before an independent recipient-owned project is created.
Once accepted, the recipient's project is independent from the sender's project. Future changes to either project do not synchronise with the other.
Private Developer Notes are transferred only where the sender expressly chooses to include them.
Under the current implementation, property media is not transferred through cross-user Share a Deal.
If the sender later deletes their AcqLogic account, an already accepted recipient-owned project is not deleted because it belongs independently to the recipient.
7. Overseas processing
AcqLogic uses Australian and international technology infrastructure.
Our current Supabase project is hosted in Sydney, Australia.
Some AcqLogic processing through Vercel may occur outside Australia. Current Production evidence has confirmed processing in the United States.
Google Workspace and our technology providers or their subprocessors may also process information in other countries in which they operate.
The countries and processing locations used by major technology providers can change over time. We will seek to keep this Privacy Policy reasonably current regarding known likely overseas processing and disclosures.
We do not represent that all AcqLogic information is stored or processed only in Australia.
8. How we protect personal information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Current AcqLogic security measures include authenticated user access, owner-scoped database access controls, private Storage, temporary signed access to private files and separation of user-owned project information.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their own account credentials.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide AcqLogic, operate an active account, fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected, maintain security, respond to legitimate disputes or requests, or meet applicable legal and record-keeping requirements.
Archiving a property or project is not permanent deletion.
A verified user may request permanent deletion of a project or their AcqLogic account.
For a verified account-deletion request, we aim to remove the active account and user-owned operational information within 30 calendar days, subject to any limited information that genuinely needs to be retained.
Operational deletion is intended to include applicable profile information, owned projects and related records, report drafts, private project media, profile assets and the underlying private Storage objects rather than deleting database references while leaving user files behind.
We may retain limited legal acceptance, security, fraud-prevention, audit or dispute records where reasonably necessary. We may also retain minimal unsubscribe or suppression information where required to ensure that a person who has opted out of marketing is not inadvertently contacted again.
Minimal legal acceptance evidence is retained for seven years after account closure. Ordinary project, property, report and uploaded-media data is not retained merely to prove legal acceptance.
Residual information may remain temporarily in service-provider logs, caches, backups or disaster-recovery systems until the provider's normal retention cycle expires. We therefore do not promise instantaneous deletion from every underlying provider system.
10. Access to your information
You may ask us for access to personal information we hold about you.
Requests should normally be made from your registered AcqLogic account or email address. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before providing personal information, but we will never ask you to provide your AcqLogic password as part of a privacy request.
We aim to respond within 30 calendar days and normally provide information electronically.
Our operating position is to provide access without charge in ordinary circumstances, although applicable law may permit a reasonable charge in particular circumstances.
11. Correction of personal information
Where AcqLogic allows you to edit your own profile or information, you may make corrections directly through the product.
You may also contact us if you believe personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
We aim to respond to correction requests within 30 calendar days and do not charge for correction requests.
12. Data export
You may request a reasonably practicable electronic copy of current personal information and saved AcqLogic data associated with your account.
Release 2 uses a manual-request-first process rather than a self-service Download Everything feature.
An AcqLogic data export should not be treated as a complete system backup or as a file that can necessarily be re-imported into AcqLogic unless we expressly state otherwise.
13. Marketing communications
Acceptance of AcqLogic's Terms of Use or acknowledgement of this Privacy Policy or our Privacy Collection Notice is separate from consent to receive marketing communications.
Where we send marketing communications, we will manage marketing consent and unsubscribe preferences separately and in accordance with applicable Australian electronic-marketing requirements.
Service, security, authentication, privacy and other necessary account communications are not treated in the same way as optional promotional marketing.
14. Data breaches and security incidents
If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate the incident and take appropriate steps having regard to the nature and seriousness of the issue.
Where the Australian Notifiable Data Breaches scheme or another applicable law requires notification, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulator as required.
15. Privacy complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@acqlogic.com.au.
Please describe your concern and provide enough information for us to investigate it. We may contact you for additional information where reasonably necessary.
We aim to acknowledge and investigate privacy complaints promptly and generally aim to provide a substantive response within 30 calendar days.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may have the right, where applicable, to raise your complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or another relevant regulator.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy where AcqLogic, our technology providers, our legal obligations or our information-handling practices change.
The current revision date will be shown at the beginning of the policy.
Where a change is material, we may provide additional notice or require users to acknowledge an updated version as appropriate under AcqLogic's legal acceptance framework.
